Connecting Regional Talent to Broadway
The Broadway Bridge Project
Great theatre is being created all across the country. The Broadway Bridge Project builds a pathway for regional artists and new musicals to step onto the New York stage.
Why Broadway Needs a Bridge
The Challenge
Broadway development is largely centered in New York, making it difficult for artists outside the city to gain visibility.
The Reality
Regional theatres across the country are creating powerful new musicals and discovering extraordinary talent.
The Bridge
The Broadway Bridge Project connects these artists to New York stages through a new development model.
Broadway doesn’t have to start in New York. It starts with artists everywhere.
Our Mission and Vision
The Broadway Bridge Project, created by Kenady Sean Productions, is designed to build a pathway for new musicals and regional theatre artists to reach the New York stage.
Across the country, powerful stories are being created outside of New York. Yet many never reach national audiences simply because the pathway isn’t clear.
The Broadway Bridge Project changes that.
Through intentional regional productions that culminate in New York presentations, we create opportunities for artists to develop their work, build momentum, and connect with new audiences, industry professionals, and future producers.
Our vision is to establish a sustainable model where new musicals can grow from local stages to national platforms, proving that Broadway doesn’t have to begin in New York.
It can begin anywhere.

The Bridge Model
Step 1
Regional Production
New musicals begin with a full production in a regional theatre community, building a creative team, audience, and proof of concept.
Example: Dallas production of The Scarlet Letter Musical
Step 2
New York Presentation
After the regional run, the musical travels to New York to be presented in a theatre festival or industry showcase.
This introduces the work to critics, producers, and theatre professionals.
Example: Spark Theatre Festival – NYC

Step 3
Industry Exposure
With a proven production and New York presentation, the musical gains momentum with producers, investors, and development opportunities.
The show now has visibility and credibility.
Step 4
Future Development
From there, the musical can continue its journey toward:
• regional theatre licensing
• further development
• national productions
• Broadway or touring productions
The bridge doesn’t end in New York — it opens the door to the next stage of growth.
